We have reserved one of our Mendocino vineyards for our own label and produced a cool climate Cabernet with a strong competitive edge over its highly alcoholic, fruit and oak-driven counterparts. As the trend towards ‘bigger is better’ begins to slow down, an increasing number of consumers are starting to place more value on wines that are subtle, complex and easy to pair with foods.
The 2006 Orsianna Cabernet offers up plenty of dark brambly fruit, sweet tobacco leaf and rich notes of dried cherry, graphite and fennel. Black olives, smoky cedar and roasted red pepper converge on the palate and are artfully framed by the wine’s velvety smooth vanilla-laced tannins and dried herbs de Provence.
Our 2006 Orsianna Cabernet won a Gold Medal Winner at Affairs of the Vine Great Cabernet Shootout 2009. It received an over all score of 93 points. Read more »
